Cool new owner with "Tahoe Cool Attitude!". Great food and atmosphere...Great view of the Lake and is next to the Park and Kids playground...Can't beat it in Tahoe City!...Love Dogs...

A photo of a waffle breakfast sandwhich from another review brought me in the first time. The actual sandwhich, service and good tunes in this laid back coffee brought be back a 2nd time! Curtis, the owner took time to chat my first visit, his other staff were great and lots of great reading material

Great breakfast and lunch options. The dining area is comfortable. Check out the plant on the ceiling that seems to be slowly taking over the place. I wish they had sliced wheat bread for the sandwiches.

Only reason I didnt five 5 star is because it was a little pricey. However the bagel was one of the bests I've ever had. I would go back if I was really craving a bagel but otherwise over 7 bucks for a bagel with cream cheese and Turkey was a little steep for me.

We let fate decide where we were going to work for the day and we ended up at this perfect little hidden gem. We opened up our laptops and made a day there with the great food, coffee and atmosphere. Fantastic wait staff as well. Highly recommend Syd’s!

Terrible service. Waited 45 min for food, then told they were out of bacon. Ordered a latte and given a mocha and told that chocolate is just a decoration in a latte.

Delicious local bagel shop with gluten free and vegan options! They feature homemade cashew vegan “cream cheese”, it is good but a bit too sweet for me. The view of the lake is nice and the coffee was good. It can get very busy but the food comes out in decent time and the coffee is nice and hot when served.

Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff! Delicious food, a wide variety of drinks, and something for everyone. The bagel I ordered was the first bagel to ever give me an identity crisis, but at the same time made me realize that I CAN be as good as that bagel if I tried half as hard as it. 10/10 would snack again.

Many great choices for plant based people. Everything is delicious and just out the back door is an amazing view of lake tahoe for your pleasure!

Poor service, went in to get a dozen bagels to take home for breakfast and they would only sell us six bagels.... No explanation why just will only sell you six bagels. Does this seem puzzling to anybody else? ended up just going to Safeway to get food to bring home for breakfast.

took 30 min to make 3 bagels with cream cheese and then straight up forgot to make the fourth bagel in the order. we had to leave after 45 minutes before they managed to get us the fourth bagel. it was not a busy morning whatsoever so not sure what the deal was

A very welcoming and cozy place that offers a huge menu. The flavors of their food are bright and delicious. The delivery of service was friendly and they even suggested different ideas for coffee and drinks. We really enjoyed this place for lunch. It was relaxing and a great atmosphere with tasty food. We will be back on our next visit.

Cute cafe with good views. We ordered the breakfast burrito and were so disappointed. There was zero flavor, even with the salsa added. (Salsa itself wasn't half bad). The potatoes tasted really bad - almost as if they were dropped on the floor. Bummed because we really enjoy supporting and shopping local.

I had a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was amazing. The bagels are so soft!

Love this place. The Lox special is the best in the area and the mix of locals and tourists works for good people watching. Only coffee shop around which has an atmosphere which allows you to chill and hang with a view of the lake from the park next door. Local staff makes the place authentically North lake.

Good bagels, not super friendly stuff.Don't expect to come here and buy bagels for the family. They limit you to between four and six bagels.

i asked for the hearty delicious looking with thick bacon, avocado and scrambled eggs covered in cheese (as seen in the pic with the yeti coffee mug), but what i got was thin pre-cooked store bought bacon over eggs that weren’t even scrambled. threw the whole thing out. just horrible!

If you are looking for a place to get some work done while in Tahoe City then this is one of the best places to go. They have amazing bagels (hence the name) and their coffee is the best in Tahoe City. Great WiFi and plenty of seating as well.

This place has amazing breakfast sandwiches. I recommend a jalapeno cheddar bagel sandwich with Canadian bacon.

The bagel I had at Syd’s was a truly life changing experience. I thought that I had eaten good bagels before. I was wrong. I got a jalapeño cheddar bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and my only regret is that I’ll never be able to enjoy another bagel like I enjoyed this one. Next time I’m in Tahoe, every meal I eat will be Syd’s bagels.

Excellent grilled cheese sandwiches!!

Slow service. Our simple order was forgotten about and we waited 35 minutes for two bagels while other customers ordered, ate and left. They didn't try to make it right and shrugged their shoulders. Over priced cooked dough

Always a GREAT stop for a breakfast treat before hitting the trails or the slopes.A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.It takes a bit of time but it is ALWAYS worth it.Try the onion bagels with butter!

Great coffee!

Was going to eat across the street but walked here instead. Order a great coffee and a breakfast burrito. I was blown away. Food is really good and prices are very fair. People are friendly and the service was great. I will definitely come back and support this place. Great family environment and they even had live music in the back seating area. More of gourmet vibes at a great price. Also a great selection of coffee and bagels.

Wonderful atmosphere and amazing food and drinks! Definitely coming back again! I never take the time to review places but this place is great!

A group of us traveled to Tahoe for a wedding from southern Cali, tried a couple places near by, but very quickly made Syd's the place we ate at daily (some days twice) for the week we were there. Outstanding breakfast and brunch spot. Killin' it with that coffee too.

Breakfast burrito was bland, my kids didn't eat them. Smoothies and bagels are really good.
